Meet Gatti the English Bulldog!

With pomp and circumstance, we announce this month’s pet of the month as Gatti, the 22 month old English Bulldog!

IMG00108Gatti is a fun-loving, happy go lucky epitome of his breed. When we first met him as a puppy with his human, Jared, we knew that he was special and we all fell immediately in love with him. We also knew that his owner was the type of owner that we as veterinary care providers dream of: attentive, trusting, and a great listener following up with all the required and requested health care to keep Gatti happy and healthy.

Gatti came to see us often with skin care issues that often plague the breed and of course odds and ends to keep up to date with vaccines and well visits. But one day Gatti, just wasn’t acting like himself. He was lethargic, had some diarrhea and even a little vomiting. After running some tests that came back negative and dispensing meds, we still were hoping to do some x-rays. Jared assured us that Gatti never got into things like that—not to mention that “dad” was always by his side. But eventually, with Gatti not doing any better, x-rays were the next step. And when Dr. Dallas Got her first look, she saw something quite clearly man-made and roughly a bit larger than a Kennedy half dollar.

Where in the world had it come from and when did he ingest it? We were sure Jared would be able to supply those answers but to this day it is a mystery.

Gatti, recovered beautifully and today is as happy and healthy as always, and still loves coming to visit each and every one of us!
